Q: How do your prices compare to
Dell or Compaq?
A: Prices on new systems are about the same as Dell or Compaq but the quality of
the computer and the support we provide is much higher. Please read all the
following information carefully before making a decision.
Q: What software is
included?
A: All new AdirondackPCs come with:
Q: Are your computers ready
for high-speed Internet?
A: Of course! All new AdirondackPCs come ready to plug into RoadRunner
and DSL. Wireless Internet is available upon request.
Q: What can I do if I have a
problem with my new computer?
A: We provide free telephone support to AdirondackPC computer owners. Wouldn't you rather
talk to us than someone in India who barely speaks English? We can usually
visit your site and resolve your problems same-day whereas the big companies will schedule a service
call, often as far out as 2 to 4 weeks after you call them - and that's only
after you've been on the phone with India for six hours talking to a guy who
wants to tell you to reload your whole computer and lose everything on it as the
solution for any and all possible problems.
Q: Do I get a warranty?
A: Yes! New computers come with a 1-year warranty on all parts except for
monitors. Monitors are usually warrantied for 30 days. Extended warranty plans
are available upon request. (Dell warranties often do not cover monitors
at all unless they are defective out of the box.)
Q: Do your computers last as
long as Dell or Compaq before becoming obsolete or needing work?
A: They actually last much longer. If properly cared for, your AdirondackPC should last for about ten
years before needing replacement parts, whereas Dell estimates 2 years. This is
because we use higher quality parts and 100% modular construction in all
systems.
Q: Do you sell laptops?
A: At this time we only directly sell refurbished laptops, of which we
usually maintain a small stock for our customers. We are, however, available
to assist you in choosing a new laptop or tablet PC from any potential
manufacturer based on your needs. Please

AdirondackPC systems use only TOP NAME BRAND components. All of today's major brand manufacturers use generic parts to maximize their profit margins, but this reduces reliability and causes parts to fail much more frequently.
AdirondackPCs are cheaper to fix & upgrade. They are designed with 100% industry standard modular construction. If any part in the computer ever fails or needs to be upgraded, it can most likely be replaced for $50 or less whereas the same repair on a Dell or Compaq would cost up to ten times as much since you must buy factory-direct replacement parts at a premium price! Example: adding 256MB of RAM memory (a common upgrade) to a new Dell Dimension desktop can cost about $300, whereas the same upgrade for an AdirondackPC is only $30!
